Our Story

Glen Maine Guest House was established in 2017 by the mother-daughter team, Elfra and Nicky. The original house was built in 1974 and underwent massive renovations to become the warm, modern guest house it is today. Since then, they have provided friendly and personable service to many guests.

Very tidy, quiet setting, close to Menlyn Mall. Rooms were spacious, clean and modern with some space to sit outside as well.

Absolutely stunning accommodation! Top class and affordable! Host is kind, friendly and very accommodating! Highly recommended 👌

Well kept, clean and large rooms. Aircons and dstv and a nice small kitchen.

Service was up to standard, the staff is friendly and courteous, there's WiFi and the place is well looked after

Very good I really enjoyed the stay.

We spent the night after attending a concert to avoid the late night drive back to JHB and were very happy with everything. Nicky went out of her way to add a few requested touches to the room which my boyfriend had asked for which really meant a lot and was much appreciated. The room was well equipped, beautifully decorated and clean. Would definitely recommend and stay again in future.

Brilliantly located near the Menlyn Business Centre. Excellent for those that want a suburby feel when coming for business. After a long day its nice to come home to the pleasant melodies from the birds in the area and enjoy the abundant nature in peace far from the traffic noise. Uber drivers find the place fast and for weary traveler’s from the Western Cape, the boomed off neighbourhood feels safe and I jogged at 7pm in the dark without any issues.

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at Glen Maine Guesthouse. It truly felt like a holiday as we were not affected by loadshedding while we were here. Nicky is a kind and attentive host; she gave us all the information we needed for a smooth check-in and check-out process.

We enjoyed our stay at Glen Mane. They were able to provide a cot for our baby boy and the area is beautiful and peaceful considering it is in the city. Checking in and out was super easy!

Ons het heerlik hier tuisgegaan en sal weer so maak. Die ontbyt was heerlik. Die kamers is modern en goed toegerus. Dit was heerlik om nie deur kragonderbrekings gepla te word nie. Die personeel was beskikbaar en vriendelik. Ons het veilig gevoel en die parkering was gemaklik.

Baie skoon en netjies, baie lekke gebly. Baie mooi en skoon, het baie lekke gebly al was dit net vir 1 nag, sal beslis weer van hul gebruik maak. Baie goeie diens, veral omdat alles nog werk met loadshedding, ook baie moderne uitleg.

Oorslaap op pad met vakansie. Ligging is fantasties en diens is goed. Netheid is uitstekend en sekuriteit baie goed. Gemaklik gevoel.

Dit was heerlik, gemaklik, veilig, netjies, waarde vir geld. Baie vriendelik verwelkom, lekker veilige parkering, pragtige tuin, netjiese kamer, en als daar binne wat 'n mens nodig het. Voorsiening vir wanneer dit beurtkrag is. Gemaklike beddens, heerlike eet en sitareas en 'n afgeskorte stoep met 'n buite-stelletjie. Regtig heerlike verblyf, sal vir seker weer by hulle bly.
